The YALEPIC® DNA/RNA storage tube (PM) is an advanced collection system that stabilizes DNA and RNA in blood samples, enabling ambient temperature transport after collection.The specialized preservative instantly lyses whole blood cells and stabilizes RNA without requiring RBC lysis or Proteinase K, preventing coagulation and effectively inhibiting RNase activity to safeguard RNA integrity. Blood preserved with this product is compatible with various downstream RNA extraction methods, such as precipitation, spin column, and automated extraction techniques, with typical RNA yields of approximately 8-15 µg per ml of blood. Ideal for stabilizing and isolating total RNA from whole blood for reliable gene expression analysis.

Features

  • Extended Stability:Stabilize transcription profiles for up to 7 days at 15-30°C, up to 14 days at 4°C, and for even longer periods under lower temperature. Due to individual differences, the exact storage duration may vary between samples.
  • Flexible Extraction Options:Compatible with commercially available total plasma nucleicacid isolation kits, including Trizol, spin column, and automated magnetic bead protocols.

Procedure
  1. Use a soft needle for standard blood collection, ensuring compliance with relevant medical standards.
  2. Collect blood into the preservation tube, filling to 10ml nominal volume.
  3. After removing the needle, gently invert the tube 10 times (as shown in the figure) to thoroughly mix the blood with the preservative. Avoid insufficient or excessive mixing to ensure preservation efficacy.
  4. Transport or store the sample according to the specified storage conditions and guidelines.
